Eligibility

  • Open to artists of any nationality, living anywhere, aged 18 or over.
  • Any medium described under Categories. Prizes are awarded across all categories together, not per category.
  • Works must be the entrant's own and must respond to the theme “What Remains”. How literally is up to you.
  • Collaborative works may be entered with all collaborators named.
  • Works previously exhibited or awarded elsewhere are eligible.
  • Each artist may receive only one prize, however many works are selected.
  • People involved in running or judging Perennius may not enter.

How to enter

  1. Photograph or scan each work: the whole work, straight on, cropped to its edges. No frame, mat, wall, watermark, signature overlay or added text.
  2. Image files: JPG or PNG, longest side at least 1600 px (3000 px or more recommended), up to 10 MB each, sRGB colour. The form checks each file as you upload it.
  3. One main image per work. Sculpture, installation and textile works may add up to two detail or alternate views.
  4. For each work, enter the title, year, medium, dimensions (cm or inches), a short statement of up to 100 words, and whether AI tools were used and how.
  5. Pay at the last step of the form by PayPal or card: US$20 for the first work (US$15 until 30 November 2026), US$6 for each additional work, up to 5 works per artist. Your entry is complete once payment goes through, and you receive a confirmation email.
  6. Entries close at 23:59 UTC on 31 December 2026. Works are reviewed by the Perennius director. Results are published on this site on 28 January 2027. Every entrant receives an email that day with a link to the results; selected artists are also told which of their works were chosen.
  7. Selected artists may later be asked for a higher-resolution file for the exhibition record.

Fees are in US dollars. Early entry: the first work is US$15 until 30 November 2026. A full refund is available on request at any time before the deadline; after the deadline, judging has begun and fees are not refunded.

Rights

  • Copyright stays with the artist. Perennius claims no ownership of any submitted work.
  • By entering, you grant Perennius a non-exclusive licence to reproduce selected works online and in materials that announce or document this exhibition. The licence does not extend to sale, merchandise, or unrelated promotion.
  • The list of selected artists and the exhibition page are permanent and will not be removed, so that selection can be cited in an artist's CV. An artist may ask for an image to be replaced or withdrawn; the name entry remains.
  • Works that are not selected are deleted from our systems within 60 days of the announcement.

AI-generated work

  • Works made wholly or partly with generative AI tools are eligible, but must be declared as such on the entry form, naming the tools used.
  • Declared AI-assisted works are labelled as AI-assisted on the exhibition page.
  • An undeclared AI-generated work that is later identified will be removed and the entry fee forfeited.
